A Walk in the Woods

Sometimes we simply need to get out in the woods. The benefits of time spent absorbing nature are well evidenced - for relaxation, wellbeing, health, and clearing the mind. Studies repeatedly show the positive effect on learning, behavior, development and mood that time spent in nature can have on children. Sometimes we can take our busy modern mindset into the bush with us - but it is best to leave it behind. Move slowly, open the senses, look around, relax your eyes, focus on your breath, and the senses. When you allow nature to be absorbed through becoming receptive, you will feel more of the benefits. This video gives some pointers on how you and your children can gain the maximum benefits from a walk in the woods. Enjoy! #liferocks #earlylearning #development #playmatters #STEM
